Volunteers

Are you interested in volunteering for Free Cakes for Kids Hackney? Our service is entirely run by volunteers and we are always looking for enthusiastic people to join our group.

Ways to volunteer:

  • Get baking: the number of cakes referred to us continues to grow so we’re always looking for enthusiastic bakers to help. Interested? Drop us an email at hello@freecakesforkidshackney.co.uk and we’ll send you all the relevant details.
  • Help with logistics: if baking isn’t your thing we need help with delivering cakes, publicising our service, and many other things!

    Just found out about you from Time Out. I would love to volunteer for this great cause.

    I would like to offer my services as weekend volunteer and home baker. My speciality: I am Coeliac and only bake strictly gluten free but can also bake dairy free if required.
    Free from cakes can be very dear and also can be very hard to get hold of fun kids cakes made without cross contamination fear for parents .

    It’s hard enough for kids who have to be on a special medical strict diet for life, ie coeliac disease sufferers or autistic children who benefit from gluten free diet without feeling left out on their birthday too. I would love to help and make kids smile on their birthday and take pressure off parents.

    I bake children Novelty cakes, all unique for children but also classic recipes. My Photos can be viewed on facebook under Ma Rion Fi Shel and then Album: Cakes I made recently.

    Looking forward to hearing from you on what would be required of me and how I can help.

    Hi, I came to our fundraising event on Sunday as a member of the Hackney Wicked Women. It was a lovely afternoon and I entered my Guinness cake for the competition! Lovely to meet Natalie and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
    I see you have plenty of volunteer bakers but please add me to your waiting list in case of an emergency as I’d love to help.
    My expertise are sponges and traybakes,also girly towers of cupcakes!
